Another Saturday shop update!
After this, I’ll be sharing them less often. Once a month perhaps. I usually feel like a kid with a crayon drawing when I come here with my pile of photos to share…. I want to tell you guys “look, look what I made!”
It’s kind of fun.
I’ve been making some changes over in the shop. Etsy lets customers use direct checkout now, so non paypal users can make purchases much easier. I just got my shop all set up for that. I also updated my about page with a sweet little story of how I started making my quilts. I’d love to know what you think of it. Of course…. some of you may remember the original quilt post over three (!) years ago. Wow does time fly…
Today I listed some silk gift wrap options, a few lovely little vintage inspired patchwork doll quilts, and some new spindrift quilts for little ones:

I know I’ve mentioned before that a lot of my sewing gets done in the wee hours when the rest of my house is asleep. While this usually works beatifully, I do occasionally push the tired mama thing a bit far. This sometimes results in a mistake. This beautiful whale quilt is one of those. I used the wrong marker to draw the curved edge and it bled through a tiny bit. It’s not something I can offer in the shop. It’s like a handmade second. (you know, the not quite perfect item in stores that is usually discounted) I wondered exactly what I should do with this almost perfect quilt……

I know I myself am a lover of not quite perfect things. Thrifted finds and loved before things fill my home. And I wondered who else loved these sort of things. So naturally, I thought of you. I figured you wouldn’t mind a wee little bit of yellow along the edge. It will still be a beautiful handmade quilt that lasts generations. It will swaddle a sweet little one and join them on adventures. I know one of you will love it up. Imperfections and all.

So, it’s yours. It’s sewn up with organic cotton fabrics and batting. Quilted with a lovely wispy sea design.
Just leave a comment here on this post to enter. I’d love for you to share the giveaway with friends. I will draw a winner next weekend.
Best of luck….
Enjoy the last bits of your weekending.

I know just what to do when another not quite perfect quilt happens in the future.
